AH35A022 Imperial Japanese Army Experimental Tank Type 5 ( Ho-Ri 1 )

Imperial Japanese Army Experimental Tank Type 5 ( Ho-Ri 1 )   AH35A022

The Ho-Ri gun tank (tank destroyer) was designed and developed using the type 5 Chi-Ri tank chassis. It was to be armed with a 105mm cannon and have a crew of 6.

The casemate superstructure for the main gun was positioned at the rear of the vehicle, with the engine located in the centre of the chassis and the driver’s position in the front section of the hull.

No prototypes were built, but a wooden mock-up was completed towards the end of WWII.

A second version, the Ho-Ri II was also planned using the Type 5 Chi-Ri chassis, this time with the armoured casemate superstructure located in the centre section of the chassis and integrated with the sides of the vehicle.

Kit includes workable track links, photo etch details and metal wire for the towing cables.
